Gugulethu Sophia Mbatha also popularly known as Gugu Mbatha-Raw, is a well-known British stage and film actress who gained popularity after she starred in"Doctor Who," (a British science-fiction TV show) show that aired on the BBC channel. Handler started her career as a correspondent for The Tonight Show. The biggest break for Handler occurred in 2006, when she began hosting her program on E! The show was called Chelsea Handler. The show ran for a total of two seasons. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour in the United States following the season. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have broadcast her stand-up comedy performances. In 2010 she was selected to host the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. With this, she became the first woman to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
